It is with great pleasure that Kennesaw FC would like to make the following announcement: Over the last 2-3 months the Board of Directors and our soccer directors have been exploring opportunities to increase the resources available to our members. These resources would lead to the development of a club that can accommodate all of the soccer programs available to youth players within the United States.

Therefore, Kennesaw FC, Cobb FC, West Georgia FC and West Metro SC have decided to join forces and create a new club called "Southern Soccer Academy" (S.S.A.). This move offers options that we currently do not have and is a positive step into the future of soccer development within the Southeastern United States, because in addition to this new club formation, we have joined an alliance with BUSA, (Birmingham United Soccer Academy from AL). This alliance allows us to provide access to the USDA (United States Development Academy) and the ECNL (Elite Clubs National League), which are the top level programs within our current soccer pyramid. This is exclusive access that is only afforded to a couple of other clubs in the state of Georgia. This will not change our affiliation with the City of Kennesaw as the Rec. Program will continue to play under the name of Kennesaw FC wearing the colors that we currently wear. In addition, the Rec. and Academy Programs will continue to call Adams and Big Shanty Parks our home along with several Athena and Classic teams as they do now. Finally, Kennesaw FC will continue to have a local Board of Directors to manage the day to day operations of these programs and our home locations.

We are respectful of our membership and understand that many questions will arise. For this reason, the club will be hosting a "Town Hall Meeting" to explain to our members the new club plan and the exciting future that awaits us. This meeting will be held at the Ben Roberts Community Center on Monday February 27^th at 7PM. We encourage you all to attend the meeting.

This new venture is a positive step for our club and the continued development of youth soccer in this part of the country, and we are excited that Kennesaw FC and our kids will be offered the opportunity to be part of it.
