Fall 2010 Registration is now open!

Kennesaw F.C. is a volunteer-run organization. We NEED you to volunteer your time to the club! However, we understand that this is just not possible for everyone so we will be charging a nominal “non-volunteer” fee to every family. The intention of this fee is to encourage volunteerism, but it also enables the club to pay for some jobs when necessary. When your family volunteers at least four (4) hours, your family will be exempt from this fee in the next season.  So, if your family earned this waiver already, please contact the Carrie Crawford at 404-630-8805.

During the registration process, you will have an opportunity to designate one of more volunteer areas. Sometime before the fall season begins, you will be asked to commit to a specific volunteer assignment. For more info about the variety of ways you can volunteer, please visit the volunteer page.

Code of Conduct

Before your player’s registration can be completed, you will be asked to agree to a Code of Conduct for your player and yourself (as a parent or guardian). Please read the Code of Conduct before beginning the registration process. If you have any questions about this Code of Conduct, please email info@kennesawfc.org.

Age Groups

Click here to determine which age group your child will play in this year. KennesawFC follows research-based soccer guidelines which strongly recommend that youth players play within their age group. DOC approval is required for your child to “play up.” Players who are new to KennesawFC must provide proof of age (i.e. birth certificate).

While requests cannot be guaranteed, team requests and “buddy” requests are accepted.

Payment

You may pay for registration with a credit or debit card (Master Card or VISA)

by mailing a personal check, money order, or cashier’s check (made out to “KennesawFC”) to P.O. Box 2258, Kennesaw, GA 30156.

Payment Plan

You may spread the Registration Fee across three (3) payments. Payments must be made with a credit or debit card. The uniform, Non-City Resident must be paid in full at the time of registration.

Returned Check Fee

You will be charged $25 for any returned checks and your player will not be placed on a team until your account is paid in full.

Refunds

Requests for refunds must be made in writing to the Registrar (registrar@kennesawfc.org.) All refunds will be charged a $15 processing fee.

100% prior to first game of the season
50% up to and including the second weekend of the season
0% after the second weekend of the season
**** Exceptions may be made for medical issues or injuries that occur during the season.

Age Groups
For the seasonal year beginning Aug 1, 2010 and ending Jul 31, 2011.

Under 6 (U6) & Under 8 (U8)

Director of Coaching Daniel dos Santos provides lesson plans and guides our parent coaches, making it easy for parents to coach and fun for the kids! We must have parents from each team volunteer as coaches and team manager.  Melissa Burns is the U6/U8 Coordinator.

Practices U6 teams practice one weekday evening from 6 - 6:45 pm. U8 teams practice from 7 – 7:45 pm the same weekday evening at the same location.  Practices are on Wednesday evening at Adams Park.

Games U6 teams play small- sided (3v3) games against each other on Saturdays from 10:00am-10:45am.  We don’t use goal keepers or keep score at this level. U8 teams play 5v5 games with goalkeepers on 6 x 12 feet goals from 11:00am-12:00pm on Saturdays at the same location.

Practices will begin August 23 and games will begin September 11, 2010.

Under 10 (U10)

Under 10 (U10) teams may play games against teams from other clubs. Field positions, goal keepers, throw-ins, penalties, and referees are part of the game now, but the focus is still on having fun while developing sound soccer skills.

We must have parents from each team volunteer as coaches and team manager. Teams without coaches and team manager will be notified. If volunteers cannot be found to fill these mandatory positions, the team will be disbanded and fees refunded.

U10 teams practice twice a week, usually at Martha Moore (field) at 6 or 7:15 pm. Practices begin several weeks before the first game (you will be notified by your coach.)

Games will begin on September 11, 2010 and will be played at home fields and at other clubs’ fields in the area (some travel may be involved.) Because we schedule with other clubs, game schedules are not usually available until the week of the first game. Game schedules will be posted on our website as soon as possible. Check with your coach or team manager. Friday night or Sunday games are possible. If a game is rained out, we will make every attempt to reschedule.

Under 12 (U12) and Up

KennesawFC offers Recreational team play for players up to the age of 18.
