Kennesaw FC is a volunteer-run organization. We NEED you to volunteer your time to the club! However, we understand that this is just not possible for everyone, so we will be charging a nominal “non-volunteer” fee to every family. The intention of this fee is to encourage volunteerism, but it also enables the club to pay for some jobs when necessary. When your family volunteers at least eight (8) hours (four (4) hours for a Fall-only player), your family will be exempt from this fee in the next season, so if your family earned thyis waiver, please contact Carrie Crawford at 404-630-8805.

During the registration process, you will have an opportunity to designate one of more volunteer areas. Sometime before the fall season begins, you will be asked to commit to a specific volunteer assignment. A list of volunteer activities is included later on this page.

 If you did not play for Kennesaw FC in Fall 09 or Spring 10, please bring a copy of your birth certificate.

Code of Conduct

Before your player’s registration can be completed, you will be asked to agree to a Code of Conduct for your player and yourself (as a parent or guardian.) Age Groups

An age chart is listed below to help you determine in which age group your child will play. Kennesaw FC follows research-based soccer guidelines which strongly recommend that youth players play within their age group. DOC approval is required for your child to “play up.” Players who are new to Kennesaw FC must provide proof of age (i.e. birth certificate).

Select Player Uniform

All Select and Academy players for Fall 2010 will have to purchase new uniforms.  The Select basic uniform kit consists of two numbered jerseys, two shorts, two pairs of socks, and two practice t-shirts and will cost approximately $213.00.  Warm-ups and backpacks are available for an additional cost.  Select Program in 2010-2011 must order and pay for the basic uniform kit before your player's registration is complete. Spiritwear, 1395 Cobb Parkway, Marietta, GA (770-427-3539) will be handling our Select uniforms this year. They will be at Signing Night to help you with sizing and to take your uniform order/payment.  You will also be asked to provide your player's shirt size when registering (for the two practice t-shirts the Club provides.)

Pre-season Camps

How a Soccer Camp differs from a Team Pre-season Camp:

A soccer camp helps the individual improve his/her technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects of the game. At a team pre-season camp, players learn how to combine their individual abilities to win games. At a team camp, we work on system of play, defensive and offensive tactics, changing the point of attack, how to transition from defense to offense, etc. In most clubs is it expected that the committed player will keep his/her skills throughout the summer in a combination of both types of camps.

This year (2010-2011) Kennesaw FC Pre-season Team Camps are required for all Select players. The cost for this camp is included in the registrations fees. 

Practice and Game Information

Practices will officially start after Pre-season Camp.

U10 - U12 Academy teams practice on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at Big Shanty Park.

U13 - U19 Select (Athena and Classic) teams practice twice a week. Your coach will notify you of the days, time, and location of practices.

Regular season games will begin Saturday, September 10, 2010 and will be played at home fields and at other club fields in the area (some travel may be involved). Sunday games are possible, especially if regularly scheduled games are rained out. Fall 2010 regular season play ends in mid-November with possible tournament play extending beyond that date.

Payment

You may pay for registration with a credit or debit card (MasterCard or VISA)

by mailing a personal check, money order, or cashier’s check (made out to “Kennesaw FC”) to P.O. Box 2258, Kennesaw, GA 30156.

Payment Plan

You may spread the Registration Fee across multiple payments, with the first payment due at signing. The Uniform and Non-Volunteer fee must be paid in full at signing.  Download Payment Plan spreadsheet (here).

Academy U10-U12 and Select U13-U14 players can choose up to five payments (including the initial one at signing.) Select U15-U19 players may choose up to three payments (including the initial one at signing.)

Payment Plan payments will be charged on the 4th of each month, to your credit or debit card (MasterCard or VISA.) You will be charged $25 for any refused payments.

ALL registrations must be either paid in full or in good standing on a payment plan in order for the player to be eligible to play. Player cards will be rescinded from the coach if payment status is unsatisfactory.

Returned Check Fee

You will be charged $25 for any returned checks and your player will not be placed on a team until your account is paid in full.

Refunds

Requests for refunds must be made in writing to the Registrar (registrar@kennesawfc.org.) All refunds will be charged a $15 processing fee.
100% prior to first game of the season
50% up to and including the second weekend of the season
0% after the second weekend of the season
**** Exceptions may be made for medical issues or injuries that occur during the season.
